Q Please can you advise how to proceed when trying to get a
numbered Computeractive download? My PC seems to ignore the numbers that you
print to access your downloads on the website, and it leaves me floundering
through all sorts of pages.
A This is a common problem with computer users who are new
to the internet. It’s also important to type into the address bar of the web
browser, not the search box or a search engine.
Typing the address into the address bar is the only way to get to our
downloads. The download links should be entered exactly as they are printed,
with the number following the slash. That will take you straight to the page we
describe.
You can access the downloads by going to the
Computeractive
home page and searching for it by name using the search box on the page.
However, typing in
www.computeractive.co.uk/2129066
as one complete entry with no spaces will take you directly to the download
page.
