Q The pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer 7 is blocking
pop-up adverts in websites that need these extra windows. Is there any way of
selecting which websites are allowed to use pop-up windows.
Derek Williams
A When Internet Explorer 7 blocks a pop-up a message appears
just below the toolbars. This can also be used to adjust the settings.
Left-click on this yellow bar and select one of the options. Temporarily Allow
Pop-ups is good for checking a site and only allows popups until Internet
Explorer is restarted.
The second option is permanent, although it can be reversed if necessary.
Click on the Tools menu, then Pop-up Blocker and then Pop-up Blocker
Settings. This window can be used to add websites individually or to remove
websites from the list of sites whose
pop-ups will be shown.
