Sainsbury’s is to begin selling a slim 15.4in notebook PC.
The
Medion
Akoya S5610 measures 365x265x22mm and weighs 2.7kg including the battery.
It has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and people can use a power-saving
option by using what the company has called an 'eco' button, which allows the
notebook to cut down on its power consumption.
It also comes with Windows Vista Home Premium and software including
Nero
Burning Rom 8 Essentials, Nero Recode 2 and the
Bullguard
Internet Security Suite with 90 days of online updates.
There is also a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a DVD rewriter for burning and watching
films and a 4-in-1 memory card reader.
The notebook has two USB ports, an Esata connection for newer external hard
disks, an HDMI port capable of handling 1,080-pixel high-definition output, as
well as a fingerprint reader for security.
It has 3GB of memory and a 320GB hard drive and costs £599.99.
